POS Compatibility Changes – POS End of Life Fees Increasing

As previously communicated, the hardware expiration for Pinnacle, Triple E and Gasboy Point of Sale (POS) systems went into effect on September 1, 2023. Since that time, locations operating on expired hardware have been subject to a monthly POS End of Life Fee. At the end of March 2024, the POS End of Life Fee will be increased.

Monthly POS End of Life Fees will continue until expired hardware has been upgraded. There are many paths to follow for upgrades. Work with your authorized fuel distributor and/or Authorized Service Contractor (ASC) to find the option that will work best for your location.

Expired hardware:

  • Pinnacle: UTC 3170, UTC 3190 (3190 not technically at end of life but has very limited part availability moving forward. We suggest finding alternative solutions now). Ingenico ISC250 Pin Pad, Allied NexGen, Abierto IP Converter
  • Triple E: Ingenico ISC250 Pin Pad, Allied NeXGen, Abierto IP Converter
  • Gasboy: All previous hardware solutions, Abierto IP Converter

Compatible hardware:

  • Gilbarco Passport
  • Pinnacle Palm POS Commander EF
  • Triple E Commander EF
  • Gasboy Islander Prime
  • Verifone Commander and RubyCi
  • Comdata SmartDESQ
  • NCR RPOS
