Upgrade to Outdoor EMV with Invenco

In April 2021, card brands shifted the liability for fraudulent transactions. Merchants not fully equipped with Outdoor EMV (OEMV) technology are responsible for all fraudulent transactions.

Pay-at-pump chargebacks with a reason of “EMV Liability Shift” indicate a cardholder disputed the transaction with their card issuer. If a card was swiped at the pump instead of the EMV chip being inserted, the merchant is fully responsible.

Invenco is now offering an affordable, high-quality solution to upgrade to outdoor EMV (OEMV). Outdoor payment terminals are available for purchase or rent through Invenco.

For Cenex branded sites, Invenco is running a promotion that allows sites to upgrade their terminals to OEMV for approximately $800*. From there, retailers will pay $159 per pump/per month for two outdoor payment terminals.

The Invenco-i2 program includes the following features

  • Top quality hardware, retrofitted into a site’s existing pumps (for any major pump make/model)
  • HD touchscreen, contactless payment reader, 2D barcode scanner, and thermal printer
  • Fast, easy installation which requires limited site interruption
  • No more “surprise” invoices, with parts, labor and support covered over the length of the four-year Invenco-i2 contract
  • Access to Invenco Support and Service desk
