Temporary Pump Authorization Limit Increases Continue
As previously communicated, rising fuel prices have directly impacted pump authorization limits. Pump authorization limits were implemented as an added security measure for consumers and merchants.
These limits prevent a customer from fueling over a preset amount within a single pay-at-pump transaction. In support of the Cenex® brand, we have made the decision to reassess limits for each card type accepted within our network.
Effective immediately, the following adjustments have been made to our pump authorization limits:
- Consumer EMV chip cards have been increased to $175
- Debit EMV chip transactions have been increased to $100
- Cenex Voyager Fleet card transactions have been increased to $500
Please note, pump authorization limits for all other transactions will remain the same for the time being. Changes to limits for other credit card types are being assessed. Additional resources and details regarding pump authorization limits will be communicated as soon as further information becomes available.
