Reminder for sites using POS Protect+ with AER1600 firewall hardware
This is a reminder that an upcoming change will affect locations using POS Protect+ for VX520 Service with PDI’s AER1600 Series firewall hardware.
What to expect next with the AER1600 firewall hardware end of life
In the coming weeks, impacted sites will automatically receive new PaySafe firewall hardware at no cost. Each shipment will include everything needed for a quick installation.
Installation is simple and does not require an ASC or POS technician. Sites should expect the swap to take just 5–10 minutes.
Additional installation instructions and shipping details will be provided with your equipment. A prepaid return label will also be included to make returning the old AER1600 hardware easy and convenient.
Until new devices are available and installed, PDI will continue to support the existing devices, and service will not be interrupted.
Action required
To ensure uninterrupted support and security, please install and begin using the new hardware as soon as it arrives.
What isn’t changing
PDI’s service, as well as the features and benefits of the PaySafe firewall solution, will remain the same. Only the hardware is being refreshed.
