Prepay Transaction Reminder for Passport

CHS Payment Solutions has identified an issue occurring on the Gilbarco Passport Point of Sale (POS) system.

When a customer prepays for fuel with a debit card but dispenses less than they paid for, the cashier must complete the transaction to issue a refund for the remaining balance that was prepaid. If the cashier does not issue a refund for the remaining balance within two hours of the initial prepayment, a chargeback will be issued to the merchant.

Example: Customer prepays $50 but only dispenses $40. The cashier must complete the transaction for a refund of $10.

If your location operates Gilbarco Passport, please ensure cashiers are properly trained on completing a prepay transaction to avoid potential chargebacks.
