Memory Issue Identified for Verifone Base 53.27

A memory issue has been identified with Verifone site controllers running versions of Base 53.27 and higher with Wayne Outdoor EMV dispensers. This issue may be more pronounced at larger sites with high traffic and a large number of fueling positions. Memory issues are characterized by communication problems between the Point of Sale (POS) controller and outdoor card readers.

The root cause of the issue has been identified and the fix will be included in Base 53.40 which is targeted for lab testing in late November and field testing in mid-December.

In the meantime if you are experiencing this memory issue, Verifone recommends daily reboots of the Verifone POS site controller as a temporary fix. If you have any questions about rebooting your site controller, please contact your VASC. If you have any questions about this memory issue or Verifone Base 53.40, please contact CHS Payment Solutions at 800-852-5301.
