Gilbarco 20.04 – Local Accounts

Recently, CHS Payment Solutions has identified an issue with Gilbarco version 20.04 that impacts local account search functionality. With this issue, scrolling of local accounts is limited to the first 500 accounts.

If you have more than 500 local accounts and a customer does not have a card for their local account/is not aware of what their account number is, you may run into issues looking up their account information. This issue has been reported to Gilbarco and has been escalated to restore the search/scroll functionality of local accounts, however a release for this change has not yet been determined.

While we are waiting for Gilbarco to resolve this issue, locations that may be impacted by this scrolling issue will need to ensure they have a way to get around this limitation. Please note, we will not be extending the deadline of 1/8/22 to upgrade to 20.04.

Recommendations to circumvent this issue:

  • Ensure all customers have a card to use when they are going to charge to their local account
  • If a customer refuses to use a card or forgets the card on a regular basis, you can look up the account number and have it on hand to enter in when they come in to charge to their account
  • If you have lots of customers who will have issues using a card, you can work with your ASC to export the list of local accounts into excel so you can search through a spreadsheet to locate account numbers
