Avoid Unpaid Transactions

Have you ever called CHS Payment Solutions to obtain a full card number to rerun a transaction? Manually rerunning transactions puts your store at risk for chargebacks. Reduce your number of reruns by implementing a few easy preventive measures! 

  • Locations with “drive offs” or customers who forget to add fuel when they pay inside
    • If this frequently happens at your location, consider making pumps prepay or pay at pump only.
  • Prepaid fuel charges placed on the wrong buffer which causes the credit card to “time out” and not be charged
    • If this frequently happens at your location, ensure staff know not authorize the pump and instead ask the customer to return and rerun the card.
  • Human errors on manual standalone terminals such as a Verifone VX 520
    • If you have a higher volume location, an integrated Point of Sale (POS) system may be a better option for your location. Contact Payment Solutions or your Authorized Service Contractor (ASC) to discuss potential integrated point of sale options supported on our network.
