Base 53 Upgrade, One Month Left
On April 9, 2021, CHS Payment Solutions announced the release of Verifone Base 53 software with an installation deadline of October 14, 2021. With one month until the software upgrade deadline, Verifone Authorized Service Contractors (ASC) are booking up. We highly recommend that you coordinate your install and get on their schedule now.
As a reminder, this software update will introduce Outdoor EMV (OEMV) for Wayne IXPay and Gilbarco FlexPay IV dispensers. In addition to OEMV functionality, Verifone has also announced a newly updated User Interface (UI) that refreshes the user experience and supports the new C18 hardware platform. In this initial release of base 53, the C18 can be used as a workstation, but will allow self-checkout in the future. If the October 14, 2021 deadline to install Base 53 is missed, a $250 out of date software fee per month will be assessed. Please review the original announcement for further details.
