With the start of Daylight Saving Time, be sure to check that the clocks on all point-of-sale (POS) systems are set to the correct time. Keeping the time and date accurate on your POS clocks is essential to meeting Payment Application and PCI requirements.

In addition, card brands require that your points of sale maintain accurate time to ensure that timestamps are correct. If a receipt does not reflect the correct date and time of a transaction, customers have the right to dispute the transaction.
