The next version of Gilbarco Passport, v11.04, is expected to have several enhancements including outdoor EMV for specific Gilbarco dispensers. As the technology advances for this system, the hardware requirements need to be updated to ensure a quality customer experience. Due to the constraints of the PX52 hardware, this system is not compatible with v11.04 and will not be supported by Gilbarco.

Currently, the anticipated release date for v11.04 is late 2018, and as in the past, there will be a requirement to install it 6 months after its release. After that time, a $250 Software Out of Date fee will be assessed for sites that are still running on the PX52 hardware with an older version of Passport.
