On December 11, 2023, CHS Payment Solutions announced the release of Verifone Commander Software Version 53.41.04,  with an installation deadline of June 12, 2024. With three months until the software upgrade deadline, Authorized Service Contractors (ASC) are beginning to book up. We highly recommend that you coordinate your installation now.

Over the past three months, 206 locations have successfully upgraded to v53.41.04 with no major issues reported. During these upgrades, two additional steps have been noted that you may need to perform when upgrading to v53.41.04 are:

1. Updating dispenser firmware: Depending on the Firmware version on your dispensers, you may require dispenser firmware updates for outdoor contactless EMV to work. Please check with your ASC to understand if your dispensers will require updates.
2. Turning on settings for outdoor EMV: When upgrading to 53.41.04, there is a setting the ASC must configure to turn on outdoor contactless EMV. Your ASC should be aware of these settings; however, we have noticed it not being set on a few locations after the upgrade. We recommend using MSOA’s Realtime Transactions or contact Payment Solutions support prior to your ASC leaving to verify that your dispenser transactions are processing as Contactless EMV.

In accordance with the CHS Approved Software Release plan, Verifone Commander Software Version 53.41.04 is now the only CHS approved Verifone Commander software version.

• Pinnacle Commander EF
  • All Commander EF Versions Prior to 53.41.04
  • All Palm Versions Prior to 12.8.13
  • All NIM Versions Prior to 1.3.1
• Triple E
  • All Commander EF Versions Prior to 53.41.04
  • All Vanguard POS Versions Prior to 6.131

In conjunction with the Commander v53.41.04 update, the following POS software versions must also be updated:

• Verifone
  • Included in 53.41.04
• Pinnacle
  • Palm – 12.8.13
  • NIM – 1.3.1
• Triple E
  • Vanguard POS version 6.131
