Required PaySafe Hardware Upgrade

In an effort to equip merchants with the most up-to-date and secure PaySafe hardware, ControlScan, in partnership with CHS Payment Solutions, has been working the last few months to upgrade the hardware for PaySafe firewalls in the field.

All firewalls will be upgraded to the latest Cradlepoint hardware (pictured to the right).

In the coming weeks, all locations still needing an upgrade will receive a call from ControlScan to coordinate the shipment of new PaySafe hardware. Once your new PaySafe arrives, please reach out to the ControlScan help desk at 800-393-3246 and select Option 1, then Option 2 to complete the install. The install should take less than 10 minutes. There will be no cost associated with the new PaySafe model, and you will be shipped everything needed in order to complete.

Locations will have 30 days from equipment arrival to swap out the old hardware for the new. If, after 30 days, locations have not swapped out and returned the old PaySafe to ControlScan, monthly PaySafe charges will double and accounts will be charged $300 for the non-returned PaySafe device. Additionally, double PaySafe charges will continue until hardware has been swapped out and returned to ControlScan.
