Outdoor EMV Point of Sale Updates

In April 2021, the card brands will shift the liability for fraudulent transactions to merchants that are not equipped with Outdoor EMV (OEMV) technology. This means if you operate a dispenser that does not accept EMV payments, you will be held liable for chargebacks for fraudulent transactions.

OEMV software features differ for each Point of Sale (POS). If you have specific functionality needs, please work with your POS technician to learn about the features of the OEMV software for your POS. Please see below for an estimated timeline for OEMV readiness by POS:

**Pinnacle Commander EF – This release does not include non-local card Patronage Tracking.  Pinnacle’s solution to fully support patronage tracking, including tiered fuel discounts by account, is on target for delivery in July. 
***Triple E Commander EF – This release does not include an Island Card Reader solution (ICR).  The date for ICR has yet to be determined by Triple E
