MSOA Reporting – Transaction Detail Report

Merchant Services Online Access (MSOA) is a time-saving tool that brings all aspects of business reporting together into one place. With this free resource, merchants can easily manage credit card details across locations through detailed reports and dashboards.

Over the next few months, CHS Payment Solutions will post a series of articles highlighting MSOA reports and how they can be utilized in everyday business operations.  In this edition, we will be outlining the Transaction Detail Report.

The transaction detail report gives merchants the ability to check daily transactions to balance books and verify transactions. This report can be especially helpful when a customer calls in inquiring about a specific transaction. View the Transaction Detail Report by logging on to MSOA and Clicking on “Reports”.

This report can also be used if a customer inquires about multiple transactions that have posted on the same day. To the customer, it may appear as though they have been double charged, however it is important to note the difference between bank statement dates and transaction dates. A transaction date is the date that an actual transaction occurred, whereas a bank statement date is the date that CHS paid the merchant. With the transaction detail report, you can view the actual dates and details of a transaction, which may differ from the bank statement date.
