Avoid Credit Card Processing Delays – Credit Card Host Configurations

Point of Sale (POS) systems have configurations for both primary and secondary host addresses. The host address information is used to determine what data center the point of sale should send the credit card data to for processing.

In the event that one data center goes down or becomes unreachable, credit card transactions automatically go to the secondary host address. If a secondary host address is not provided, locations will be unable to process credit cards until the data center is restored. To avoid unnecessary processing delays during outages, it is important to set both the primary and secondary host addresses correctly.

Gilbarco Passport Users: Check your configurations to ensure that the primary host is set to 64.27.74.59 and the secondary host is set to 63.131.152.38.
