Action Required – Verifone Base 53 Software Upgrade
A mandatory software upgrade to Base 53 for Verifone has been released and requires your action.
The latest release* supports Outdoor EMV (OEMV) for Wayne IXPay and Gilbarco FlexPay IV dispensers. In addition to OEMV functionality, Verifone has also announced a newly updated User Interface (UI) that refreshes the user experience and supports the new C18 hardware platform. In this initial release of base 53, the C18 can be used as a workstation, but will allow self-checkout in the future.
With all software releases, and to fulfill requirement 6 of the PCI standard (develop and maintain secure systems and applications), the new software version will need to be installed by 10/14/2021 or a $250 out-of-date software fee will be assessed.
