Pinnacle Palm POS Commander EF – Approved Software
As previously communicated, CHS and Pinnacle have been developing an integrated solution, Pinnacle/Cmdr EF, to support Outdoor EMV (OEMV) transactions. We are happy to announce that the integration between Pinnacle and Verifone has been tested and approved for release. This newly integrated platform will be available beginning in February 2022. Moving to this platform will require:
- Establishing a Pinnacle maintenance program
- Ordering new hardware
- Establishing a Verifone ASM/HD
- Implementing software

The first and most timely step that must be taken to implement OEMV transactions with Pinnacle/Cmdr EF is establishing a new software maintenance program directly with Pinnacle. This will replace the Pinnacle and Allied software maintenance fees currently billed on the CHS Payment Solutions monthly merchant statement. It will also provide access to upcoming EMV software releases.
Moving forward, your Pinnacle ASCs will handle all Palm hardware equipment orders. CHS will no longer sell Pinnacle Palm hardware. If you would like a list of authorized Pinnacle ASCs in your area, please contact Melissa Fox Hadley at 817-795-5555 ext. 175 or mhadley@pinncorp.com.
In accordance with the new CHS Approved Software Release plan, Pinnacle/Cmdr EF is a CHS Approved Software Version for Pinnacle. At this time, there are no new software expirations for Pinnacle. The three current CHS Approved Software Versions for Pinnacle are:
- Cmdr EF Base 53.03/Pinnacle 12.8
- Rev H02
- Rev H
