Action Required – Gilbarco Software Version 20.04
A mandatory software upgrade to Gilbarco Software v20.04 has been released and requires your action by January 8, 2022.
The latest release:
- Introduces initial support for Wex and Voyager EMV Chip cards, allowing them to work at EMV-enabled dispensers as a magstripe card. With this release, customers will no longer be prompted to pay inside
- Allows for contactless indoor EMV payments
- Includes embedded cashier control for the Express Lane
As has been previously communicated, with this new release, Ingenico ICS 250 PIN pads will no longer be operational. If you are still utilizing an ISC 250, it will need to be replaced with a Verifone MX915 v4.0 PIN pad. The MX915 can be purchased through your Authorized Service Contractor (ASC). To assist in purchasing these new PIN pads, CHS will be offering technology rebates. In order to qualify for technology rebates*, PIN pads must be ordered by 8/31/21, and installed by 12/31/21.
Over the next few months, the Cenex Voyager Fleet credit card will transition to an EMV chip credit card. In order to accept these new chip cards at EMV enabled dispensers, you must upgrade to v20.04.
With all software releases, and to fulfill requirement 6 of the PCI standard (develop and maintain secure systems and applications), Gilbarco software v20.04 will need to be installed by 1/8/2022 or a $250 out-of-date software fee will be assessed.
