Commander Base 56 Approval Timeline
CHS Payment Solutions will begin testing Base 56 in the first quarter of 2026. Upon the approval of Base 56, CHS Payment Solutions may choose to expire all previous versions of Commander site controller software and initiate a six-month End of Life on the four hardware systems listed above.
Merchants using any of the End of Life hardware systems will be unable to upgrade to Base 56 or any software releases thereafter. CHS Payment Solutions does not recommend acquiring any of the hardware systems moving forward due to their short remaining lifespan.
Additional information on Base 56, the expiration of previous software, and the End of Life for the listed devices will be communicated upon approval of the software. For more information, please contact CHS Payment Solutions at 800-852-5301.
2Qualifying equipment must be purchased by August 31, 2026, and be installed by December 31, 2026, to be eligible for 2026 technology rebates.
