Important Expiration Notice for Locations Using Verifone Hardware Systems
Verifone is scheduled to release Commander Base 56 site controller software in the second quarter of 2025. Please note, Verifone is placing an End of Life on the following hardware systems with the Base 56 release. Merchants will be unable to upgrade to Base 56 or any software releases thereafter.

- Ruby 2
- RubyCI
- Ruby2 iOrder
Based on the expected release date, CHS Payment Solutions will begin testing Base 56 in the second quarter of 2025. Upon the approval of Base 56, CHS Payment Solutions may choose to expire all previous versions of Commander site controller software and initiate a six-month End of Life on the four hardware systems listed above.
If your site is currently using any of the four impacted systems, we strongly suggest you begin working with your Authorized Service Contractor (ASC) now to determine the upgrade strategy for your location. CHS Payment Solutions does not recommend acquiring any of the above hardware systems moving forward due to their short remaining lifespan.
